Light upon Light

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.
The parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche
and within is a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass;
the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the East nor of the West, whose Oil is nearly luminous, though fire has hardly touched it.
Light upon Light!
Allah guides whom He will to His Light,
Allah sets forth Parables for men,
and Allah knows all things.    -  An-Nur 24:35

In the name of Allah most Gracious most Merciful. 

   

    Let us begin this project InshaAllah, with the understanding and acceptance that Allah is the only one who has the capacity to give knowledge, knowledge that is beneficial, knowledge that can be used for the good of mankind, to be able to change the world for the better. It is Allah alone who is the Light of the heavens and the earth,who can illuminate this darkness of evil that mankind can caused upon himself. It is through Allah's help do we take a step forward into trying to spread goodness through small everyday things in life to revolutions to change the world, Inshallah.

    I was attending a class on Surah Nur and an interesting observation the instructor made that I felt like sharing with you all is that, Man is similar to the parable that Allah puts forth in this Ayah. The lamp is like mans chest, enclosed inside his ribs like the glass, the pure olive oil like the knowledge of Islam that can burn forever. And when lighted this fire can illuminate the world from the east to the west. Biithnillah, as khalifah's on earth it is our duty to spread this light of Allah and deliver this luminous oil of Islam to the hearts of all mankind.
